Designer Scott Sternberg (Band of Outsiders brand) once again presented a really strong Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. Short pea coats, well cut blazers, rolled up pants and shorts, and all that mixed with the latest Band of Outsiders for Sperry footwear made for an overall great look. You also find a nice series of dip-dyed ties and shirts in the collection. We continue to really feel the look of the California designer.

A slim white boardwalk stretches down the middle of the Tent in Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and blue light seeps through from underneath, turning the locale into an imaginative shallow sea of blue in the images of Jacques-Henri Lartigue. As the desert turns from blinding sun on the sand to a radiant nadir to the cold star-filled night, here also a short rush of powerful colors let the collection blossom before the darkness took over. The last pieces of the collection were kept in black and dark blue, and therefore set a stronger focus on materiality and silhouettes. Skwarovski crystals, silk, and satin gave illumination. Those more graphical pieces disclosed a good feeling and sure hand for line management through an affinity for strong elegant lines which are characteristic for Marcel Ostertag. Ultra high heels from the Munich-based label G & I underlined the whole collection. A glamorous composition with mother nature as inspiration source, this sensual journey carried us from burning heat and endless sand of the day to the sublimity of desert nights.
